Durch die Entdeckung der Gladiatorenschule Carnuntum in Österreich haben Forscher mehr Licht ins Dunkel um das harte Leben der sagenumwobenen römischen Gladiatoren gebracht. Das internationale Team von Archäologen hat die Architektur der antiken Schule genau nachgestellt. Die Gladiatoren trainierten in einer Art befestigtem Gefängnis.
